A little something for me!

This post explores the following areas of wellbeing:
I have been doing small things that help make my day a little easier. It starts at night. I try to leave my place tidy so in the morning I wake up with a fresh space. This means tidying up my bathroom (putting all my makeup lol), washing dishes, setting up my coffee maker so I just have to hit start, prepping breakfast like chia seed pudding so I don't have to stress in the morning, and looking over the next day's schedule. I've been trying to track things on my calendar. It helps track all the tasks I have and respect other people's time. I also use notion to track assignments and that has made a difference with my time blindness and procrastination. Making lists and ticking things off makes me feel accomplished! I have been really trying to maintain my skincare routine, take my meds, and take vitamins! Taking a warm shower and listening to music or enjoying the sound of the water helps me relax before bed. I use fun soaps/ shower steamers/ candles to really set the relaxing mood!
In the morning I try (emphasis on try) to make my bed. It helps me not to crawl back into bed. I try to eat breakfast or have coffee to start my day. I spend about 45 minutes doing my makeup and picking an outfit. It is really important for me to look and feel good in order to have a productive day. Plus, if I am in my outside clothes I am less likely to get back into bed or take a nap! I recently started therapy and have been benefiting from getting skills to cope.
Of course I struggle to implement everything but little by little I have begun learning what works for me. Every year I do a 5k mud run and I would love to get back into going to the gym to prepare! I have been going to the doctor/dentist regularly. I have also invested in getting my drivers license and international travel! Deleting social media has reduced unneeded stress. I am excited to keep investing in myself, exploring what works, and prioritizing my wellbeing. These are just a few little (and big) things I do for me.

Deleting my social media and making sure to source accurate news sources has also helped me reduce my stress. Making sure i talk to friends and family every day and leave the house has really improved my state of wellbeing!
